A distinctive feature of the Thành Bản Phủ Folk Arts Club lies in the richness of the art forms it preserves and promotes. Alongside dances deeply rooted in Thái and Hmông ethnic identity, the club sustains various regional folk art genres, including Bắc Ninh quan họ folk songs, chèo opera, hát văn spiritual singing, and Central Highlands dance forms. Each performance brings a unique cadence and aesthetic nuance, contributing to a multifaceted picture within the cultural life of the local people.

Nguyễn Thị Lý, a member of the club, shared that maintaining routine practice provides members with more opportunities to exchange, learn, and join hands in conserving folk art forms, through which each individual aspires to contribute to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.

Established and officially recognized in 2016, the Thành Bản Phủ Folk Arts Club brings together over 10 cultural troupes comprising nearly 200 members. The active involvement of multiple generations and individuals endowed with extensive cultural knowledge has laid a firm foundation for the club to maintain and transmit folk cultural values.

Having been attached to the club for a long time, Lò Thị Đỉa, a club member, expressed that Thái ethnic songs and dances handed down by ancestors have been sustained across many years. In leisure hours, members gather to rehearse so those dances can be performed and showcased to the public; each opportunity to bring their ethnic culture to others brings great joy and immense pride.

To ensure long-term cultural continuity, the club focuses on recruiting younger members. This cohort receives direct guidance from experienced members, covering dance movements, melodic vocal expressions, and the utilization of folk musical instruments. Through regular rehearsal, young people gain greater access to traditional culture, grasp the deeper meaning of each song and dance, and progressively become the next custodians.

According to Vũ Thanh An, Head of the Thành Bản Phủ Folk Arts Club, preserving traditional culture over the long term hinges upon maintaining persistent practice and forging intergenerational continuity. The club determines that preserving folk arts primarily serves to safeguard songs, dances, and cultural features handed down by ancestors. Members simultaneously practice, revive older repertoires, and instruct young members to know, understand, and continue practicing them; only through this approach can traditional cultural values pass from one generation to the next without fading away.

Alongside routine rehearsals, the club actively conducts performance exchanges across villages and hamlets and takes part in local cultural events, particularly the Thành Bản Phủ Festival. This serves as an occasion to present songs and dances widely to the public, bringing traditional culture closer to the community.

Together with the Thành Bản Phủ Folk Arts Club, numerous cultural and artistic clubs across Điện Biên province have been maintained in recent years with the participation of artisans, culture bearers, and widespread local residents. From these communal spaces, traditional cultural values continue to be practiced, transmitted, and disseminated, helping safeguard ethnic identities and ensuring continuous succession across generations.
